Could I fall down while braking?
If you follow the operating instructions, it is virtually impossible to fall down or injure yourself when using the EBS. The control of this electronic brake is designed so that the braking effect is very smooth and depends only on the skater, what braking force he will use. Braking with the EBS is comfortable and really safe.
Can I keep the original heel brake on the skates at the same time?
Most in-line skating designs allow the EBS to be mounted without removing the so-called foot brake. Certainly, after some time, when you are very happy to use our braking system, it will seem unnecessary to have this outdated type of foot brake on your skates, which you will only ride while driving.

Yes! The Stopskate electronic braking system is the world’s first true in-line skating brake to be fully functional and to the state of the art.

Can I install this brake on my skate by myself?
The Stopskate electronic braking system is not very complicated to instal. If you follow the assembly instructions which is part of the set, you should have no problems installing and adjusting this brake. The set includes the necessary Allen keys for mounting and adjusting the brake. In this package you will also find a picture attachment, which will greatly facilitate the assembly and adjustment of the brake. Can I send you my existing skates and you install a brake on them?
Yes, we will be happy to help you with the installation. However, first contact us via e-mail info@stopskate.com and send to us photos of your skates (the detail of the frame and screw is important) to make sure that the brake can be installed on your skates. Once we have agreed, you have the following options:
1. Send the skates to the address: Stopskate s.r.o., Stupkova 952/18, Olomouc, 779 00, but you pay the postage yourself.
2. Personally bring the skates to the above address
We will inform you by e-mail as soon as you have your skates with the brake adjusted and ready to be picked up. Subsequently, you will be issued an invoice with the price of the brake (the price is the same as in the e-shop) + with the price of postage in case we send the skates back to your address and you do not pick them up in person. As soon as we receive the money, we will immediately send you skates with the brake fitted. The service and installation of the brake itself are free of charge.
How to proceed with a product complaint/return?
The goods can be returned within 14 days from the date of receipt of your order (in its original, intact condition), without giving reasons. In the event of a complaint, we guarantee you a 2-year warranty period (more details can be found in the Business Terms and Conditions – 11th warranty conditions section)
If you decide to return a product that was purchased in our e-shop, always proceed as follows:
1. Fill in the return/exchange form HERE
2. Insert the form together with a copy of the invoice in the package
3. Pack the goods
4. Send to the address: Stopskate s.r.o. Stupkova 952/18, Olomouc, 779 00 (postage is paid by the customer, shipments sent by cash on delivery will not be accepted)
5. After receiving the goods, you will receive an e-mail
6. Depending on the options selected in the form, you will be refunded (the method of refund will be the same as you chose when purchasing, in the case of cash on delivery, the money will be returned to your bank account), or we will exchange the product for a new one / repair it.
7. If you decide to exchange the product for a new one, the postage back to you will be paid by Stopskate s.r.o. The package will be sent to the address indicated on the invoice.
8. A period of 30 days applies to the settlement of the complaint
